Owned and Loved by Kathy & Mike Woodard (Sugarfoot Kennel)

Allie is a daughter of AKC CH Gefion's Kissing Bandit and AKC CH Rocking K's Phantom Dancer CD

Rockin K Kennel and Marquis Kennel are very proud of Allie and all the things that she has done.  Below are just a few word from Kathy about Allie.

"Allie is a certified Therapy Dog Registered with Therapy Dog International, Inc.  Our objective is to provide comfort & companionship by sharing my dog with patients in hospitals, nursing homes & other institutions that need & accept Therapy dogs.

Therapy dogs increase emotional well being, promote heeling, and improve the quality of life for the people we visit.

The first time we visited the hospital everyone did a double take ---before Allie and I started our visits there had been no therapy dog program.  We visited with patients who had strokes & dementia.  Everyone wanted to pet Allie & they all had a story to tell about the pet they had.

Allie has several tricks she performs & always gets a lot of smiles.  There was one little man who seemed to be very sad –Allie went right up to him ---he reached for her & gave her a big hug—then her began telling stories of his pup.

Therapy dogs also encourage patients to use limbs struck by stroke---also to walk.  It has been clinically proven that through petting, touching and talking with animals—patient’s blood pressure is lowered, stress is relieved & depression is eased.

Being a Therapy dog handler has been very rewarding---sharing Allie with people who can’t have a pet again---Hope there’s a therapy dog around when I need one."
